Bishop Joseph Quainoo is the founder of the Anyii Bible Translation Project
In 2010, he was a student at the Akrofi-Christaller Institute of Graduate Study.
He was challenged by this question, why is there no Anyii translation of the Bible?
Years later, after he graduated, he felt God prick his heart to call together a team of linguists, theologians and Anyii senior leaders to lay the foundation for a translation project. The Anyii Translation Project was born and after many adjustments and staff changes, the Project is now steadily translating the Bible, beginning with the New Testament and continuing on with the Old Testament as resources permit.
To date, Bishop Quainoo and his team have translated the Gospels, Acts of the Apostles and Hebrews.
